James created and ran the NBCUniversal lifestyle brands’ first digital marketing production group, mandated to drive multi-platform new-media business growth while increasing brand awareness and promoting linear and streaming series during marketing campaign windows.
He developed over 20 original digital series for YouTube and all major social platforms, using popular trending formats to promote high-profile network talent while also generating revenue. “Marketing that pays for itself.”
He is an experienced cross-functional leader and collaborator who can wrangle the needs of multiple internal and external groups: c-suite and brand, development and current, marketing and PR teams, talent-development teams, and ad sales groups.
He is an experienced producer, writer and director who’s spent years running the end-to-end production workflows behind the cycle of media campaign strategies, multi-platform content suites, budgeting, production, post-production, final delivery, audience analytics, and repeat. He's helmed everything from large 7-camera productions with over 75 crew, down to shoots where he's performed everything: writer, director, lighting and DP. He’s managed creative production teams of up to 20.
James is currently a producer at GhostLight Media, developing digital series in the comedy, horror and talk/news spaces, both as stand-alone content and as supplemental to series and feature pitches to major studios and streamers.
